Hyderabad: 2 arrested for bid to kidnap minor

Goud said his wife feared that the duo would harm him, but he was thinking of the safety of the girl.

Hyderabad: Mr Jagadeesh Goud, a 65-year-old farmer, who nabbed two persons on Wednesday and saved a Class IX student from being kidnapped, said all his thoughts were on saving the girl.

Hayathnagar police on arrested the two suspects — cab driver P. Ramesh and mobilephone service person M. Srikanth —  for attempt to kidnap and assault a minor. Speaking of the incident, Mr Goud said his wife feared that the duo would harm him, but he was thinking of the safety of the girl.

“Any girl, even my children, may face a situation like this. I could not stay back as a child’s life was in danger.” he said. He was on his bike with his wife Andalu when he noticed the duo dragging a minor into the car. He chased the car into a nearby forest, where it got stuck. He rescued the girl and handed the duo to locals.
