Municipal Council member held for cricket betting

Two persons working as directors of a Delhi-based e-commerce firm were arrested by the Rachakonda cyber crime police.

CHIKKAMAGALURU: A City Municipal Council (CMC) member, Kai Ravi, is one of the five people taken into custody by the police officials attached to the District Crime Information Bureau (DCIB), Chikkamagaluru on Sunday on charge of running a cricket betting racket. Kai Ravi is said to be close to Bharatiya Janata Party MLA of Chikkamagaluru C.T. Ravi. The arrested have been identified as Mohan, Abhi, Afzal and Prashanth. The accused ran a cricket betting racket from Chikkamagaluru and had links with bookies in Bengaluru and Mysuru.
