Hyderabad: The principal and a teacher of Bhavan’s Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalaya were booked for beating up a five-and-a-half-year-old boy with a cane.

Neredmet police station inspector A. Narsimha Swamy said that A. Bhaskar, an employee of Bharat Dynamics Limited and resident of Alwal, complained that his son A. Yasvith, studying UKG at Bhavan’s Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalaya at Defence Colony was beaten by a teacher Sowjanya.

The boy’s father said that his son suffered bruises and is suffering from high body temperature as he was frightened after he was beaten. He also alleged that the principal Jyothi Aparna, who is the custodian of the child has failed to take care of the child.

Based on his complaint, the Neredmet police registered a case under Section 324 of the IPC and Sections 75 and 82 of JJ Act.
