Hyderabad: Former TTD employee arrested for job fraud

Hyderabad: A former Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam employee hailing from Khammam district of Telangana was apprehended by Hyderabad city task force police for cheating 40 job aspirants on the pretext of providing jobs in the TTD and Singareni Collieries, and also for duping devotees by taking money to book tickets for prayers at Tirumala.
A series of complaints were received by Hyderabad and Karimnagar police that Perumalla Ramesh, 28, a resident of Tarnaka has been duping people on the pretext of providing jobs in the TTD, Singareni Collieries and also at the Yadagirigutta Devasthanam, after taking money from them.
Hyderabad Task Force Central Zone personnel who got a tip-off about Ramesh apprehended him and handed him over to Bowenpally police.
Enquiries by police revealed that Ramesh, a native of Khammam discontinued his education after intermediate. He joined the TTD as a systems operator and was posted at Karimnagar in 2015. While working there, he deceived several youngsters from Karimnagar and collected money on the pretext of providing jobs as data entry operators, store operations in-charge and attendants.
Task force DCP P. Radha Kishan Rao said, “Ramesh has cheated about 40 persons so far. He was terminated from service by the TTD earlier. For five months, he was living at Tarnaka with his wife as he was facing pressure to repay the money collected from the victims.”
