THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State police chief T.P. Senkumar has said that the delay in nabbing the  accused in the Jisha murder case was due to the process of finding the scientific evidence of the crime. Ruling out the need for a shake-up in the investigation team, Mr. Senkumar said that  efficient officials were probing the case and hence there was no need to entrust the probe to any other team at this point.

“The police team is trying to zero-in on the real accused by analysing the scientific evidence. Hence it is taking some time to nab the culprit. Those who are unaware of such facts are  making unnecessary controversies,” Mr. Senkumar told reporters here on Thursday. Reiterating that there were no lapses in the probe, Mr. Senkumar said that the police team would nab the culprit soon.
