Bengaluru: ISIS suspects planned to strike before Eid

NIA officials searched three places in Hyderabad on Tuesday, in its Islamic State module probe and recovered 17 live bullets.

BENGALURU: Five IS suspects, who were arrested by the officials of the National Investigation Agency in Hyderabad, had reportedly planned to make this Eid bloody in sync with the IS call to carry out attacks during Ramzan in different parts of the world, said sources from the Intelligence Bureau.

Mohammed Ibrahim Yazdani alias Ibbu, Habeeb Mohammed alias Sir, Mohammed Ilyas Yazdani, Abdullah Bin Ahmed Al Amoodi alias Fahad and Muzaffar Hussain Rizwan alias Rizwan were arrested by the NIA on June 29.

An IB official said that the arrested suspects had planned an attack before Eid. “A major terror attack is averted in the nick of moment,” the official said. NIA officials searched three places in Hyderabad on Tuesday, in its Islamic State module probe and recovered 17 live bullets.
