Karnataka: Fruit seller hacked to death

Bengaluru: A fruit seller was hacked to death by five unidentified miscreants with lethal weapons in Talaghattapura police station limits on Friday night. The deceased has been identified as Rahmatullah (32), a resident of Avalahalli. 

Police said the incident took place near Avalahalli Layout at around 9.30 pm, when Rahmatullah, along with two friends, was consuming alcohol.

One of Rahmatullah's friends, who managed to escape from the spot, told police that five unidentified men came in bikes and picked up a fight with Rahmatullah. Later, they attacked him with lethal weapons and fled.

The incident came to light when Rahmatullah's another friend, who while returning from a shop saw Rahmatullah lying in a pool of blood.

The police said the reason behind the act is yet to be ascertained and those involved are yet to be arrested.
