Three of family found murdered at home in Nellore
Property dispute led to murder, say relatives
ANANTAPUR: Three persons of the same family including two women were killed by an unidentified gang at their house in Kondabitragunta of Bogole mandal in Nellore district on Sunday. The three were found dead in a pool of blood with severe head injuries.
The deceased were Vadikuppam Krishnaiah, 75, V Santhamma 78, and Mandati Mounika, 37.
According to reports, Madhusudhan hailing from Kondabitragunta of Bogole mandal worked as a railway employee and was married to Mounika from Turimerla of Pradarthi mandal. Recently, he died due to ill health. There have been disputes over distribution of assets between Mounika, Mouli and Malyadri – wife, brother and father of the railway employee.
After the death of her husband, Mounika has been residing in her house in Turimerla. She, her father Krishnaiah and grandmother Santhamma visited Kondabitragunta two days ago. On Sunday morning, relatives of Madhusudhan found Mounika, her father and grandmother found the three dead and informed the police.
SP Tirumaleswara Reddy visited the house and fielded special teams to nab the accused. A sniffer- dog squad and clues team were pressed into service as part of the investigations. Police shifted the bodies for post-mortem and registered a case.
Meanwhile, relatives of Mounika suspected that Mouli and Malyadri killed the three after a heated discussion on the distribution of assets. Notably, Mouli and Malyadri were at large after the incident.
