Telangana: RTC bus accidents claim 2 lives
RTC bus mishaps have claimed 4 lives in the month of November alone.
Hyderabad: Just five days into the month and RTC bus killings have reached a toll of four. A 7-year-old student died as an RTC bus mowed him down while crossing the road at Keesara on Saturday evening. The deceased, identified as K. Vamshi, was a resident at Road No 9, SV nagar.
“On Saturday morning, around 9 am, the boy was crossing the road when an RTC bus, heading towards Nagaram from ECIL, mowed him down, causing serious head injuries,” said the sub-inspector of Keesara police station. Based on a complaint, a case under section 304A (death by negligence) of IPC was booked against the bus driver and the dead body was sent to the Gandhi Hospital morgue for postmortem.
In a separate incident on Friday, a man was brutally killed by an RTC bus under the Nampally police station limits when the bus rammed into the bike he was riding. The deceased was identified as Mohd Abbas Ali. “The bus was heading towards Kukatpally from Vijaywada when it rammed into the biker during early hours on Sunday,” said the police.
