Molestation case: AP minister's son Ravela Susheel and his driver arrested

Police included Susheel's name in the FIR confirming that he was present in the car at that time.

Hyderabad: Two days after he was beaten up for molesting a woman teacher on the streets of the city, police on Sunday arrested AP minister Ravela Kishore Babu’s son Susheel and driver M. Ramesh.

The duo had absconded after the incident and surrendered at the Banjara Hills police station early on Sunday. Police included Susheel’s name in the FIR confirming that he was present in the car at that time.

The duo was remanded to 14-day judicial custody and sent to Chanchalguda prison. The police sought their custody for three days. The court directed the police to file a counter against the bail plea filed by Susheel and Ramesh and postponed the hearing to March 8.

West Zone DCP A. Venkateswar Rao said the initial complaint lodged by the victim mentioned one Appa Rao and an unknown person with a tattoo on his hand travelling in a car, AP 7CK 1777, had allegedly tried to pull her into the car. The police registered a case under IPC Section 509.
