CRPF man attempts suicide in Hussainsagar
The lake police saw his suicide attempt and managed to rescue him.
Hyderabad: A 27-year-old CRPF constable tried to end his life by jumping into Hussainsagar on Monday after he was allegedly harassed by his commandant in his camp in Jharkhand.
The lake police saw his suicide attempt and managed to rescue him. Nayeeni Satish, a native of Shala gundala, Mutharam mandal of Karimnagar district came to Hyderabad from his camp in Jharkhand to commit suicide, police said.
According to police Satish joined as a CRPF constable in 2013 and was posted at Musabani, in East Singa Bhoomi in Jharkhand.
“His commandant has been harassing him ever since. He had ran away from the camp once, but later went back. He had not been getting his salary of time because of some technical issues raised by his commandant. Satish became depressed and decided to end his life,” said an official from Lake police.
The police stopped his attempt and took him to police station for a counseling session. He has been sent to the CRPF headquarters at Chandrayangutta.
