Hyderabad: The Central Zone task force arrested five persons, including a Btech student, for possessing demonitised Indian currencies worth '99 lakhs on Saturday. They were also caught with six cellphones in front of Sanjeevaiah Park on Necklace Road.

The arrested persons were identified as V. Sai Kumar Reddy, a Btech student, T. Sai, T. Prasad, B. Nagendar,  and P. Ram Babu.

Sai Kumar from Sri Indu Engineering College at Ibrahimpatnam hatched the plan with a friend to get easy money in exchange of old Indian currencies and got it touch with an agent, who promised him a commission.
