Hyderabad: Vegetable seller drugged, molested

Hyderabad: A 45-year-old vegetable seller was allegedly intoxicated and  molested by a person in Kacheguda. The victim was lured by the suspect who made her drink a cool drink mixed with alcohol. 

The woman approached the police a day later and filed a complaint. The incident occurred at Krishnanagar where the woman was selling vegetables on a push cart. 

“In the afternoon the victim went to a house and asked for some drinking water. The house owner, P. Krishna, offered her Thumbs Up mixed with alcohol. Without knowing what it was she drank and became tipsy. He then molested her,” said a police officer from Kacheguda police station. 

The victim, who slept after taking the drink, later woke up and realised that she had been molested. She then approached the police and filed a complaint.  Police has booked a case and has launched an investigation.
