Tamil Nadu: Speeding car injures three good samaritans

Chennai: In a case of wicked irony, three good samaritans who assisted an accident victim near Madhya Kailash were hit by a speeding car on Wednesday morning. The three men sustained severe fracture in the accident and are being treated at a hospital, police said. The incident happened around 5 30 am. Rajendran (26) of Teynampet who works as a software professional lost control of the two-wheeler he was riding. The vehicle skid and Rajendran was thrown off the vehicle. Passerby Sundaramoorthy (26) of Saligramam and Sathish Kumar (27) of Madipakkam rushed to his aid on witnessing the accident. “Ambulance reached the scene and the duo along with ambulance driver, Prithviraj (30) were helping the accident victim board the ambulance when a speeding car rammed into the four men, injuring them” a police officer said. Luckily, the men escaped with fractures and other passerby rushed to their aid and moved them to a private hospital, police said. Adyar traffic investigation wing registered a case against car driver Adithya (27) and arrested him.
