UKG girl dies as tanker hits school bus

Hyderabad: A 6-year-old UKG girl died when her school bus was hit by an oil tanker on Wednesday. The girl, P. Varshita, was a UKG student of St Ann’s school in Yadagirigutta. 

“On Wednesday her bus was taking students to school when an oil tanker, driven by one Uday Kumar, overtook and hit it. The collision killed Varshita. The driver and two other students were injured,” said inspector D. Lingaiah. 

Police booked a case under Section 304A (death through negligence) and 337 of IPC and arrested Uday Kumar.
