Telangana: Newly-married couple's murder shocks villagers
It is learnt that both Harish and Rachana belonged to same caste and were distantly related.
Rajanna Sircilli: The daylight murder of a newly wed couple has shocked the local people. The accused murdered the couple by slitting their throat with sharp weapons.
Relatives allegedly murdered the couple Neduri Harish, 24, and Rachana, 22 at Balarajpalli in Sircilla mandal in Rajanna Sircilla on October 5.
Village elders, who tried to save the lives of the couple, were pushed away by the assailants and the victims were killed in front of them.
It is learnt that both Harish and Rachana belonged to same caste and were distantly related.
Harish worked as an auto driver; the vehicle was owned by Rachana's maternal uncles. Rachana was brought up by her maternal uncle after her parents died.
Rachana’s maternal uncles did not like her marrying Harish. The couple had got married in the first week of August at a temple in a simple ceremony.
The police has formed special teams to trace the accused who are absconding. The accused have been identified as Neduri Shekar and Ashok and Manoj.
