Hyderabad: Drunk man clubs son to death

Hyderabad: A petty argument between a father and his son led to a fight resulting in the father killing the son in Shamshabad on Saturday night. An enraged Krishna hit his son Praveen with a crowbar on the head.

Police said A. Praveen, 25, and his father Krishna, residents of Khajagalli village, were working as daily wage labourers. On Saturday night, both came home heavily drunk. Later, they had an argument over a petty issue and started fighting.

“Krishna picked up a crowbar lying in the compound and hit Praveen on the head. Praveen suffered a serious injury and died on the spot,” inspector M. Mahesh said.

Police filed a murder case against Krishna. But he claimed that that someone else had killed Praveen. Krishna was detained for questioning.
