Hyderabad: Six engineering students vandalised 10 cars in Beeramguda near BHEL on Monday night. Police said the students who came to attend a friend’s birthday party were heavily drunk when the incident occurred. Police said Aravind, Vishnu Vardhan, Shivram, Shaik Abdul, Vinay and Mukesh were arrested and produced in court. The case is being investigated.
Police said the men were aged between 22 and 24 and are residents of Sai Colony in Mayur Nagar, and are studying engineering in different colleges in the city. On Monday night they gathered at Vinay's house to celebrate his birthday and after that they got heavily drunk.

“At around 1 am they came out and started breaking the glasses of 10 cars parked in the locality,” RC Puram inspector J. Bhaskar said. The residents, who woke up, hearing the noise of the car windows being broken, identified the men and raised an alarm. The men who saw the residents fled from the spot. Based on clues, police arrested the six men and produced them in court. They were later counselled in the presence of their parents.
