Avadi double murder case, photos of suspects released
Police personnel have warned residents to be alert as they have more than 30 cases pending against them in Andhra Pradesh.
Chennai: The Chennai city police have released the circulars along with the images of the prime suspects Podilappu Suresh Kumar and his wife Bhulakshmi in the Avadi double murder which took place on November 27.
Podilappu Suresh Kumar and his wife Bhulakshmi, natives of Andhra Pradesh, have been named as the accused in the double murder of retired government press employees Jagadeesan (68) and his wife Vishalini (61).
The elderly couple was found murdered in their farmhouse in Chennai’s Sekkadu, near Avadi. Police stated that 50 sovereigns of gold jewellery too were missing from the property. During the investigation of the crime scene, police retrieved an iron rod covered with blood, which is believed to be the weapon used to kill the couple.
The police have now released the photographs of the suspects, along with several other circulars and pamphlets which said that the suspects may pretend to seek a house with their three-year-old son to distract the attention of people. Police personnel have warned residents to be alert as they have more than 30 cases pending against them in Andhra Pradesh.
Anyone who spots the couple should contact the city police control room at’100’ or the assistant commissioner of police of the region on 94448-03562, 94981-06608. Police personnel have circulated the pamphlets to other police stations and pasted them near the bus terminals and railway stations.
