Indian Mujahideen activists sent to Tihar jail
Officials from the NIA shifted Asadullah Akthar and Zia-ur-Rahman (Pakistani nation) in the early hours.
Hyderabad: The two remaining Indian Mujahideen operatives and convicts with death sentence by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) Court including a Pakistani national were flown to Delhi on Tuesday to be lodged in Tihar jail. Officials from the NIA shifted Asadullah Akthar and Zia-ur-Rahman (Pakistani nation) in the early hours.
Earlier on February 2, three IM operatives including Yasin Bhatkal, Tahseen Akthar and Aizaz Shaik were shifted to Tihar and Karnataka jails. The five convicted prisoners are also involved in some other terror relative cases in Bihar, Delhi and Karnataka. An official from the prisons’ department said that the convicts would be lodged in the assigned prisons to attend trials at the respective courts.
