Fraud: Sathvik Boodati of Sahiti Infra detained by cops

Boodati Laxminarayana, and its directors, on Sunday for cheating people under the pretext of pre-launch offers on apartments. They were accused of cheating the victims of '37.90 lakh and '29.88 lakh in two seperate incidents.

Hyderabad: The city police detained Sathvik Boodati, son of Bhoodati Laxminarayana of Sahithi Infra who was accused of cheating around 900 persons under the pretext of pre-launch offers on apartments, while he was leaving for Dubai.

Police said Sathwik was on the run from the time the cases were registered last year, and was nabbed when he was attempting to flee the country.

The police had named Laxminarayana, as the prime accused along with his wife Parvathi and Sathvik, directors of Sahithi group. Laxminarayana and his wife have been arrested.

As Sathvik was at large, police issued a look-out notice against him.

On Tuesday when Sathvik along with his wife were in the process of boarding a Dubai-bound flight, immigration officials stopped them and alerted the city police. On information, the city police detained him. He will be produced before the court and sent to remand, city police officials said.

The Sahithi group has over 40 FIRs registered against them in different parts of the city and are accused of cheating 1,200 customers of ₹1,500 crore with pre-launch offers for apartments in their real estate ventures.
