Hyderabad: Man found dead in OGH waiting hall

Police said the deceased person could be around 55 years of age.

Hyderabad: The body of an elderly man was found in the waiting hall of Osmania General Hospital on Saturday night. The Afzalgunj police has registered a case of suspicious death and sent the body for postmortem at the OGH mortuary.

According to the Afzalgunj police, around 8.30 pm on Saturday, OGH health inspector S. Praveen Kumar lodged a complaint stating that the security supervisor had noticed the body of an unidentified man lying in the attendants’ waiting hall which is located beside the OP pharmacy.

Police said the deceased person could be around 55 years of age. No external injuries were found on the body.

“A case of suspicious death has been registered and the body has been sent for postmortem,” said an official. Efforts are on to identify the man.
