Telangana: Two arrested for adulterating milk
The police seized 8 kg milk powder, 800 packets of loose milk, 552 litres of milk packets, 12 bags of ghee creams and an old car.
Hyderabad: The Special Operations Team raided a dairy farm and arrested two persons for adulterating milk, curds and ghee and supplying the same to well known hotels in the city. The police team seized 8 kg milk powder, 800 packets of loose milk, 552 litres of elite milk packets, 12 bags of ghee creams weighing 446 kg, a weighing machine and a car from them. The arrested men were identified as U. Satyanarayana, 45, and S. Srinivas, 34, a driver.
Based on a tip off, police raided the Sree Guru Darshan Dairy Products in Venkateswara colony on Wednesday. “The suspects were running the dairy farm and mixing harmful adulterants in milk. He sells the goods to food joints in the city,” said Special Operations Team officials. In another similar case, the team raided one Sree Dhara Dairy Products in Chaitanya Hills and apprehended two for mixing milk, curd and ghee and seized the material from them. The accused were identified as R. Linga Murthy, 34, and T. Sadist Kumar, 34.
The arrested individuals and the seized material were handed over to Meetpet police In the third case, Rachakonda Special Operations Team raided a Sai Ganesh Food Products outlet in Venkateshwara colony and nabbed M. Ravender, 40, for adulterating food. The officials seized expired non-fruit vinegar, a bag of sodium benzot, eleven 50 kg bags of corn flour, five cans of colour and 30 litres of acetic acid from him. The arrested individuals and the seized items was handed over to Vanasthalipuram police.
