Kollam: CBI told not to arrest co-operative bank secretaries
According to CBI, these banks had fraudulently accepted the demonitised notes in violation of Centre's directions.

Kochi: Kerala High Court on Friday directed CBI not to arrest two co-operative bank secretaries in Kollam district in a case relating to accepting deposits of banned currency notes of more than Rs 50,000 during the post demonitisation period. The court issued the interim order on anticipatory bail plea filed by P Ashokan, secretary, Kadakkal Service Cooperative Bank and Girija Kumari M, secretary, Mayyanad Service Cooperative Bank.
CBI has registered case against secretaries of Kadakkal, Puthiyakavu, Mayyanad, Panmana, Kulashekharapuram and Chathannoor service co-operative banks. According to CBI, these banks had fraudulently accepted the demonitised notes in violation of Centre’s directions.
