Telangana: Three held for false vows of providing job

Police said the gang offered back door entry and collected lakhs of rupees from the victims.

Hyderabad: North Zone police busted a gang of three people including a priest, who allegedly cheated several job aspirants promising them government and private jobs. Police said the gang offered back door entry and collected lakhs of rupees from the victims.  

Police arrested the suspects D Vittal, a priest from Karwan, and his aides, S. Padma Reddy, and B. Niranjan Kumar from Alugaddabavi cross roads. Another member of the gang, identified as Ramesh, is absconding, police said.

According to police, Vittal, who works as a priest, used to convince his potential targets that he can get them jobs by performing some kind of black magic. Reddy and Kumar are Ayurvedic doctor and businessman, respectively.

“They were arrested on charges of cheating  people by offering to provide jobs in government and private sectors,” said B Sumathi, DCP North Zone.
