Gangster Ayub Khan gets 7-year jail term
The court also convicted the wife of the gangster for two years.
Hyderabad: A local court on Wednesday sentenced notorious gangster Ayub Khan, a history-sheeter of Kamatipura police station, to seven years imprisonment in a case relating to acquiring a passport fraudulently.
Two Qazis who helped him by submitting fake marriage certificates were each awarded two years rigorous imprisonment. The court also convicted the wife of the gangster for two years.
The police, who caught the gangster when he returned to the country from Dubai in December 2016 on a fake passport, found that he had acquiree a passport when he was in prison.
The police had then arrested Mohd Khaleel Ahmed, a passport agent from Nampally, Qazi Syed Muqthadir Ali Quadri, Qazi Mohd Naseeruddin, and Pottem Ravindranath, an advocate. An inquiry was ordered against a police constable who submitted a favourable report.
