Hyderabad: Woman, paramour kill drunk husband
In a fit of rage, Devika called her paramour and plotted to kill Jagan.
Hyderabad: A private employee was throttled to death allegedly by his wife and her paramour at the couple’s residence at Film Nagar in Banjara Hills late on Monday.
According to the police, Jagan Nayak, 35, got married to Devika in 2008 and the couple had two children, a girl studying in Class II and a boy studying in Class V, the police said.
On Monday night, Jagan came home drunk and picked up an argument with Devika regarding her affair. In a fit of rage, she called her paramour and plotted to kill Jagan.
Devika, with the help of the man, who is reportedly absconding, first sprayed mosquito repellent in Jagan’s mouth and then throttled him to death, said sub-inspector of Banjara Hills G. Bharat Bhushan Chary, adding that at 3 am, the couple’s house owner, Vinod, heard the commotion and came down to investigate.
“He found Jagan’s dead body, beside which Devika was weeping, and called the cops. The other man had left the place and is on the run,” the official said.
Based on a complaint registered by Vinod, Banjara Hills Police booked a case under section 302 (murder) of IPC and placed Devika under arrest. Efforts are on to trace and nab the absconding paramour, accroding to the officials.
