Nallakunta:Relative Attacks Woman After Argument Over Finances

Hyderabad: A 50-year-old D Anitha, working as a Senior Assistant in the Revenue Department was attacked by her distant relative Suresh, a driver, at her home in Nallakunta city late on Monday night. Suresh attacked Anitha with a hacksaw blade injuring her on her throat and both hands.

Nallakunta police registered an attempt to murder case against Suresh and started an investigation. Anitha was rushed to a private hospital, where she is being treated.

According to police, Suresh resides at Chevella. On Monday night, he came to Anitha’s residence. An argument broke between them over financial issues. As the argument became heated, he pulled out the hacksaw blade he brought with him and attacked her.

As she collapsed with bleeding injuries, Suresh fled from the spot. Anitha’s husband D Suresh, an advocate, lodged a complaint with the police. The victim is out of danger. A special team has been deputed to nab Suresh, who is absconding now, said Nallakunta SHO B Jagadishwar Rao.
