Hyderabad: Qazi's diary reveals details of human trafficking
The qazi, according to sources, had also written down flight schedules from Hyderabad to the GCC countries.
Hyderabad: A diary seized from the office of Qazi Ali Abdullah Rifai alias Volta Qazi has exposed the human trafficking network in the city.
The diary contained several landline numbers of women and also had many mobile numbers of people in the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia and other countries. “We suspect the women are brokers who were facilitating the qazi. We will be gathering details of telephonic conversations,” said a police official.
The diary was confiscated during a raid by a police team, led by Mohamed Tajuddin Ahmed, ACP Falaknuma.
The qazi, according to sources, had also written down flight schedules from Hyderabad to the GCC countries.
“The qazi not only solemnised marriages but also arranged accommodation and flight tickets to foreign nationals,” the official said.
