Hyderabad: 28-year-old woman commits suicide, blames landlord
Her husband Rama Krishna had gone to attend a marriage in his native place on Friday.
Hyderabad: A 28-year-old woman hanged herself to death at her rented house at the Medical Society of Srinivasa Nagar Colony in Kukatpally on Monday allegedly due to harassment by her landlord.
The victim, P. Sujatha, wrote on her room’s wall that the house owner was responsible for her death. She stated that owner Prasanna Kumar had assaulted her asking her to vacate when her husband was not present. Neighbours told the police that Kumar used abusive language and tried to assault her for not vacating. He was threatening to throw them out as the couple’s children made noise.
Police is now hunting for the suspect Prasanna Kumar, 42, a techie. Rama Krishna and wife Sujatha had been staying on the first floor while the owner stayed on the ground floor.
