Bodies of five drowning victims reach Hyderabad
A selfie attempt led to the death of the teens who drowned in a temple pond near Gangavati in Karnataka.
Hyderabad: The five teenagers, who died by drowning in the lake in Karnataka on Sunday, had gone on a vacation at their grandparents place with their parents. The bodies are brought back to the city. They were identified as Pravalika, Pavitra and Pavani, three sisters, residents of Sultan Bazar, and their relative Ashish and Rakesh, residents of Bowenpally. A selfie attempt led to the death of the teens who drowned in a temple pond near Gangavati in Karnataka.
“After their exams were cancelled, the girls were compelling us to take them for a vacation and my daughter even made me come to her college to take permission from the principal,” said the distressed mother who lost all three daughters. “They were excellent in studies and extra-curricular activities and were always cheerful. They did not listen to their father who told them that he does not have enough money to fund the vacation. They wanted to go out to take a break and were adamant about it,” said a relative.
