Hyderabad: Man arrested for wife\'s murder

 Hyderabad: IS Sadan police on Tuesday arrested Katravath Prem Kumar accused of killing his wife Swapna over an extramarital affair on October 28. Prem Kumar saw Swapna with her boyfriend Suresh and killed her. In retaliation, Suresh pushed Prem from the first floor of the building, leaving him injured. Suresh was already arrested.

Police said the couple were in love for a long while and got married just a month before the murder. However, even after the marriage, Swapna used to talk to Suresh over phone for long durations due to which she had issues with her husband.

Meanwhile, in October when Prem Kumar came home, he noticed Suresh was in his home with his wife. He went to a nearby shop, purchased a knife, returned home and attacked Swapna. In the process, Suresh pushed him down from the building.

Prem Kumar received severe injuries and was undergoing treatment. He was arrested and sent to remand, said SHO Mallesh Sonnaila.
