Hyderabad: A nine-year-old boy and an eight-year-old girl were raped and two girls and a boy, all aged nine, were sexually abused by a 29-year-old labourer in Wanaparthy district.

The accused, Dasari Shekar, lured the kids to his home while they were on way for tuition. Police registered five cases as per the complaints of the five victims.

Police said two nine-year-old boys, two nine-year-old girls and an eight-year-old girl from Govindanahalli village used to attend tuition in their village. Shekar’s house is near the tuition centre of the kids.

While they were on way to tuition he trapped the kids one after the other last week. He used to call them into his house on some excuse and assaulted them.

"He had intercourse with a boy and a girl and assaulted two girls and a boy sexually," Kothakota SI Ravikanth Rao said.

The issue came out on Sunday. On Saturday when the kids were absent for tuition, the teacher informed their parents, and when their parents questioned the kids they said they were afraid to go for tuition as Shekar has sexually assaulted them. “The kids are in shock and not able to reveal details. We have sent them for medical exam,” the SI said.

Police found that Shekar was a homesexual.
