Chennai: Chain snatched from elderly woman
Based on her complaint, the chain worth five sovereigns was snatched.
Chennai: In broad daylight, an elderly woman was robbed of her gold chain at Thirumullaivoyal on Monday.
According to the police, Mythili Chandrasekar( 68) a resident of ICF colony was walking on the first cross street near her house on Monday afternoon.
“When she was near the Sindhu Nadhi road junction, a man in bike came the opposite direction and the snatched the gold chain and fled the spot,” said a police officer.
The woman later lodged a complaint with Thirumullaivoyal police station.
The city police then released the CCTV footages that showed the woman walking alone on the street and a man who was in two-wheeler pulling her gold chain and fled. Based on her complaint, the chain worth five sovereigns was snatched. Further investigations are on.
