Alappuzha: Student beats up principal, gets booked

The complaint said that the accused assaulted the principal after the latter denied his demand to lift his suspension.

ALAPPUZHA: Alappuzha south police has booked a student at SD College here for manhandling the principal. According to the police, a case was registered against Muhammad Rafi, a graduate student on the basis of the complaint registered by principal P.R. Unnikrishna Pillai.

The complaint said that the accused assaulted the principal after the latter denied his demand to lift his suspension. The incident occurred on Thursday.  Rafi was suspended from the college for manhandling  a non-teaching staffer few weeks ago. When the principal refused to lift his suspension, the accused grabbed the principal’s hands and showered abusive language, and snatched away his phone forcefully.
