Vijayawada: Harassed woman ends life at home

Alleged harassment by a house-owner has claimed the life of a 35-year-old lady.

The girl's father told police that his daughter jumped from the building as she was mentally harassed by the teachers.

Vijayawada: Alleged harassment by a house-owner has claimed the life of a 35-year-old lady. Sushma, a married woman, committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence at Ashok Nagar in the city on Thursday. According to the family members of Sushma who got separated from her husband and is staying in a rented house at Ashok Nagar, her house-owner Narayana Rao  was harassing Sushma to vacate the house for the past few days.

Both of them had a heated argument on Wednesday and Narayana Rao scolded her. Sushma, who got depressed with the attitude of the house-owner hanged herself to the ceiling fan. Sushma’s relatives staged a protest at the hospital demanding stringent action the house-owner. However, a case was not registered at the police station.
