Hyderabad: A 30-year-old man was murdered by unidentified persons in broad daylight at Road No. 7 in Banjara Hills on Saturday. Ratna Chary, a carpenter, was attacked with sharp weapons.

Police suspects it to be a case of revenge killing. Ratna Chary, a resident of NBT Nagar, was involved chain-snatching, attention diversion and bike theft cases

Police said the assailants had called Ratna Chary at about 3 pm on Saturday to talk near the Mee Seva centre. “Their conversation turned into a heated argument. One of the assailants took out a sharp weapon and stabbed Chary multiple times before fleeing. He sustained deep injuries on his face, head, neck and other parts, collapsed on the spot and died,” said Banjara Hills ACP N. Murali. Police said crime was captured on a CCTV camera installed nearby. The locals said they had argued on Friday night too.
