22-year-old driver held for fraud in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A 22-year-old driver who allegedly stole the debit card details of his employer and made online purchases worth Rs 2 lakh in her absence was arrested. The accused was identified as Depavath Ravi.

Police found that, Ravi who was working as a part time driver slowly became his employer’s confidant and looked after her bank transactions. Although she had deactivated her SIM card he submitted her ID proof which he had procured earlier and got her SIM activated and using them he made purchases on e-commerce sites and purchased five Apple Iphones. Police arrested Ravi and seized five Iphones from him.
