Hyderabad: Man harasses girl, sentenced to 2 days jail

According to the police, the accused used to harass the girl to accept his love proposal.

Hyderabad: A 22-year-old man was sentenced to two days imprisonment for harassing a Ninth class girl by a local court on Monday.

The Meerpet police have identified the accused as K. Bhuvaneshwar, 22.

According to the police, the accused used to harass the girl to accept his love proposal. He used to follow her from her residence to school. About 15 days ago, the accused gave his mobile number and asked her to call him saying he loved her. However, the girl warned him not to follow her and complained about the harassment to her father Nagaraju. 

Mohammed Ali, sub-inspector of police Meerpet said, “On Saturday evening while the girl was returning home after school hours, the accused followed her. She immediately informed her father. The girl’s father Nagaraju then lodged a complaint.”

The police have registered a case under Sec 70 (c) of the Hyderabad city police act and produced him in court on Monday. Bhuvaneshwar was sentenced to two days imprisonment.
