Four Killed in Auto-Bus Collision in Kadapa

Anantapur: Four persons, including a woman auto driver, were killed and six others injured in a collision between an RTC bus and an autorickshaw on the Yerraguntla Bypass Road in Kadapa district on Monday.

The victims, all passengers in the autorickshaw, were identified as Mohammad, 25, Shakir, 10, Haseena, 25, and Ameena, 20.

The group of 10 family members and neighbours from Azad Nagar colony of Kadapa city were traveling to Mallela to attend a function when the accident occurred.

Police said the autorickshaw was trying to cross the road when it was hit by the bus coming from the opposite direction.

The auto was badly damaged and the four passengers died on the spot. The six injured passengers were rushed to the Proddatur government hospital.None of the passengers in the RTC bus were injured. Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
