Hyderabad: Owner did not have permission
GHMC official G. Vani said corporator A. Chaitanya Kanna's husband Kanna Yadhav questioned her authority to question the owner.
Hyderabad: Kanna Yadhav, the husband of a TRS corporator from Kachiguda, has been booked for assaulting a woman GHMC officer. He is accused of grabbing the officer's hand, snatching away her mobile phone and threatening her for entering the premises, police said. The son of the TRS corporator from Maljakgiri, N Abhishek Goud, was arrested for seeking “cybersex” from a 25-year-old woman recently.
On Tuesday, GHMC town planning section officer G. Vani who was inspecting Kacheguda’s Chappal Bazaar in Rethmathbagh galli visited an under-construction site and questioned the owner about building permission documents.
The owner replied that “Kanna Yadhav (TRS local leader) knows everything about my building; he is handling it.” However, he later admitted that no construction permission had been sought from the GHMC.
In her complaint, Ms Vani said that as she was inspecting the construction site, “Kanna Yadhav, a local TRS leader and husband of Kacheguda TRS corporator A. Chaitanya Kanna, barged in with a few of his henchmen. He (Kanna Yadhav) held my hand, snatched my mobile, and asked me with what authority was I questioning the owner and how I had entered the locality .”
Kacheguda sub-inspector T. Madhu said that a case under Sections 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) has been booked against Yadhav. “The case is under investigation; the accused’s number is switched off and he is absconding,” the sub-inspector said.
