Hyderabad: Snag delays plane by over 20 hours

Passengers on the Cathay Pacific flight were later provided accomodation.;

Hyderabad: A Cathay Pacific flight set to fly from Hyderabad to Hong Kong, carrying around 130 passengers could not take off from Shamshabad airport during the wee hours of Thursday due to a technical snag. The flight was delayed by a whopping 20 hours, according to officials at the airport.

According to sources, the technical snag developed soon after passengers had boarded the plane. The flight CX646 – Cathay pacific, was supposed to depart Shamshabad International Airport around 2.00 am on Thursday. But the glitch forced the plane’s pilots to delay take-off by over 20 hours.

The international passengers were provided accommodation by the airline and the regional passengers were provided with transport facility. The aircraft was scheduled for take-off late on Thursday after repairs.
