Chennai: Natarajan submits copy of Supreme Court order to CBI court
Thiruneelaprasad issued the NBW based on Madras high court order dated November 17, which upheld the CBI court's order.
Chennai: A day after principal special court for CBI cases, Chennai issued non-bailable arrest warrant against M. Natarajan, husband of jailed AIADMK leader V. K. Sasikala, and three others, on Friday they submitted copies of the Supreme Court order, which exempted them from surrendering before the trial court in connection in an illegal import of a luxurious car from United Kingdom over two decades ago.
On Thursday, VIII additional judge for principal special court for CBI cases, A. Thiruneelaprasad issued the NBW based on Madras high court order dated November 17, which upheld the CBI court’s order sentencing them to two years in prison in connection with the illegal import of a luxurious car. After the special public prosecutor for CBI approached the CBI court seeking issuance of NBW citing the recent Madras high court order, judge A. Thiruneelaprasad passed the order on NBW.
