Ali was angry with the victim as he was not allowing his wife to stay with him, accusing him of harassing her. Ali stabbed the victim, a retired revenue department employee, with a knife killing him on the spot.

According to police, the couple got married in the year 2020. A few months into the marriage, the couple started quarrelling over petty issues. As a result, Ali’s wife came to her parents.
She returned to Ali after a compromise, but came back to parents again after he allegedly beat her up.

Two months ago, when Ali allegedly beat her and quarrelled with her again, she went back to her parents and was residing with them since. Meanwhile, Ali was angry with her in-laws that they were not allowing his wife to stay with him.

Meanwhile, the family complaining against him to police and registering petty cases also made him furious.

On Monday, when Ali was on his way to Jaffer’s residence at Malakpet, he found them midway in a street near their home and picked up an argument with him. In the process, he picked up a knife he was carrying along and stabbed him..

Kasparaju Srinivas, Inspector of Malakpet said a murder case has been registered against the accused on a complaint from Jaffer’s son Jabbar. A hunt is on to nab the accused, he said.
