Two minor bikers die at Humayun Nagar, one hurt in road mishap
A case was booked under Section 304 A (death by negligence) of IPC against the RTC bus driver, who is absconding.
Hyderabad: In yet another case of fatality of underage drivers, two minors were killed and one injured in a road mishap at Humayun Nagar on Friday morning. The trio, students of Class X, were travelling towards Tank Bund on a bike when their bike skidded on the road. The boys fell on the ground violently, killing one of them instantly. Another boy succumbed in the hospital.
The kids were preparing for their final exams due next month. The bike they were riding was hit by a TSRTC bus near NMDC at Masab Tank, said police.
The boys, identified as Pavan Kumar, Madhu and Chandu, used to attend tuitions together every morning at Vivekananda School in their locality.
“The tuitions were cancelled today, so they set out for a drive to Tank Bund. Pavan Kumar was riding the bike while others were riding pillion,” said Humayun Nagar SI Srikanth Reddy. The bike belonged to Pavan’s father.
Family members said that a speeding RTC bus hit them from the side while they were taking a turn near NMDC. “They then lost balance and fell down on the road, sustaining injuries. While Pavan died on spot, Madhu succumbed to his injuries during treatment in a private hospital. Chandu is under treatment,” the SI said.
