Stabbed to death in Telangana: Bodies of father, son brought home

Those from Maharashtra are currently in police custody while the Nepali is absconding.

The five teenagers, who died by drowning in the lake in Karnataka on Sunday their bodies are brought back to the city.

ALAPPUZHA: The bodies of  a father and son from Poochakkal near Cherthala, who were stabbed to death by their tea shop employees at Basara, Telangana, on  Tuesday, were brought home on Friday evening.  

Gopinatha Kartha, 82, Vadasseril house, Panavally, and his son, Ratheesh, 42, had been  running a tea shop near Basara railway station. The employees of the hotel, including three from Maharashtra and one from Nepal,  attacked them on Tuesday night. Those from Maharashtra are currently in police custody while the Nepali is absconding.

The Telangana police handed over the bodies to the relatives   after legal procedures on Friday. Their last rites will be held at their home on  Saturday.

Kartha and his family had been staying in Basara in  Adilabad district of Telengana for many decades. Kartha is survived by daughters  Kala, Shyla and Bindu. Sivarani is the wife of Ratheesh.
