Hyderabad: Meat shops at malls booked

Hyderabad: The GHMC inspected Forum Mall and Manjeera Mall in Kukatpally and imposed penalties for sale of unstamped meat and for creating insanitary conditions. Officials imposed Rs10,000 penalty on each of the malls.
Elsewhere, the GHMC booked seven cases against owners of mutton and beef outlets for operating in violation of restrictions in view of Mahavir Jayanti. Special teams visited several shops to enforce the prohibition on slaughter of animals. The GHMC prosecuted seven traders under Section 20 of GHMC Act and confiscated 25 kg of mutton and 30 kg of beef.
