Gitam university student ends his life, dad fears foul play
Suhas was staying at the university hostel and had three classmates as roommates.
Hyderabad: An engineering student of Gitam University who attempted suicide three days ago on campus died while undergoing treatment early on Sunday. The student, C. Suhas, 19, hailed from Medak district and was studying BTech I year.
Suhas was staying at the university hotel and had three classmates as roommates. On Thursday night, they planned to celebrate a friend’s birthday and decided to have food at a hostel. When they were ready, Suhas said that he was not going with them and stayed back.
Later, when they returned to the hostel at around 9.30 pm, they found the room locked from inside and there was no response from Suhas. They broke open the door and found Suhas hanging from the ceiling. They brought him down and rushed him to a hospital. His friends and parents are also clueless about the reason for his suicide.Suhas died while undergoing treatment in hospital. Suhas left a suicide note saying that nobody was responsible for his death, and that the police and his parents should not trouble anyone.
Meanwhile, his father C. Srinivas, filed a complaint stating that he had suspicions regarding his son’s death. Initially the police registered an attempt-to-suicide case, and it was later altered to suspicious death.“We are checking facts and collecting evidence,” inspector S. Prabhakar said. Suhas' body was handed over to his family after post-mortem.
