Newborn thrown into dustbin in Uttar Pradesh
The baby is suffering from Anencephaly disease in which a major portion of the brain, skull, and scalp is not fully developed.
Lucknow: In a bizarre incident, the staff of a primary health centre in Ballia district threw a new born child into the dustbin because the baby was malformed. The staff termed the baby as a ‘demon’ and said that the infant would bring bad luck to them.
The parents of the baby later took him out of the dustbin and the infant is now being attended to by the doctors.
The baby is suffering from Anencephaly disease in which a major portion of the brain, skull, and scalp is not fully developed.
A doctor at the primary health centre said that chances of the baby surviving were slim. “But at the moment, the child is being treated and is doing fine,” he said. Earlier, the family and relatives of the baby created a ruckus at the health centre protesting the incident.
