Thieves Steal ₹3 Lakh Worth of Liquor and ₹50,000 from Tollywood Producer's Car

Hyderabad: Thieves made away with 11 bottles of imported liquor worth over ₹3 lakh and ₹50,000 from the car of Tollywood film producer Bellamkonda Suresh, that was parked in front of his house in Journalist Colony, Jubilee Hills, on Friday.

Suresh’s wife B. Padmavati, lodged a complaint with the Jubilee Hills police stating that the thieves had smashed the window glass of left rear door of the car (TS 09 EC 3033). He had just returned from from his office, Saiganesh Productions.

Police said the thieves broke the glass with a sharp object and made away with the liquor and money what were kept on the rear seat. Each liquor bottle was estimated to cost ₹28,000 said V. Rajashekar, detective sub-inspector, Jubilee Hills.

The lane had no CCTV camera and police were going through the footage from cameras installed on the connecting roads, sources disclosed.

Sources said the police had nabbed six suspects and were questioning them but there was no breakthrough.
